Is your certification worth it, and AI-proof?

Pick a certification. This index fuses how fast it recovers its cost against the target job's pay with how exposed that job is to AI, into a single Durability Grade.

Choose a certification

How the grade is built

Two axes, both from public data. Cost recovery is the certificate cost expressed as a fraction of one month of the target occupation's median pay (BLS OEWS, May 2024). AI durability is one minus the target occupation's AI-task exposure, from published research (Eloundou et al. 2024 in Science; the Anthropic Economic Index).

The final score weights durability more heavily than payback, because almost every certificate recovers its cost quickly, so the scarce, decision-relevant signal is whether the job survives. The tool never estimates a salary increase; individual uplift is not knowable and is never claimed.

Questions people ask

Is the Google Data Analytics certificate worth it in 2026?
On cost, cheap certificates recover almost immediately. The harder question is whether the job is durable against AI, which this index adds.
Will AI replace the job my certification qualifies me for?
It depends on the occupation. Interface design scores as fully exposed; security and support roles score mid-range. The cited figure is shown per certification.
Does this promise a salary increase?
No. The payback figure is cost recovery only, never a raise. Individual salary uplift is not knowable, so it is never estimated.
Where do the numbers come from?
BLS OEWS median wages and published AI-exposure studies (Eloundou 2024; Anthropic Economic Index), cited on each result.
